About the event

Using the seminal theories of Child-Centered, Adlerian, and Developmental Play Therapy, we will cover each theory's basic rationale, concepts, and techniques. After that, we will infuse each theory with a trauma-informed perspective and look at examples of how to incorporate each theory’s techniques into the play therapy session.

Learning Objectives:

1) Participants will identify the concepts and philosophy of CCPT, AdPT, and DPT.

2) Participants will demonstrate trauma-informed techniques to CCPT, AdPT, and DPT.

3) Participants will define trauma-informed play therapy.

4) Participants will identify techniques of CCPT, AdPT, and DPT.

5) Participants will collaborate and integrate theories and trauma.

6) Participants will define trauma and its importance in childhood development.
